  • DON’T TAKE THE BAIT - PART 4: SPIRITUAL POSITION

Last night, during the service, the Lord revealed something so powerful to us. Many of us think that Satan's main goal is to "wreck the ball"—to cause chaos, disasters, and visible ruin. But the Lord showed us something different. The devil doesn’t always want to shake up your physical world; instead, he wants to move you from your spiritual position.

The First Spiritual Displacement: Adam & Eve

Let’s take it back to the Garden of Eden. When Satan tempted Adam and Eve, did he tell them to pack their bags and leave the garden? No! He didn’t need to relocate them physically. He only needed to shift their spiritual position.

Look at what happens after they sin:

"Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, 'Where are you?'" (Genesis 3:9, NKJV)

Did God not know where Adam was physically? Of course, He did! He is all-knowing. But what God was really asking was: "Adam, I placed you in a spiritual position of authority and leadership, and now that position is vacant. Where are you?"

Adam was still in the same geographical location, but spiritually, he had moved away from his God-given role. And that is exactly what the enemy is after in our lives!

Satan Doesn’t Need to Move You Physically

Many of us think that the devil wants to remove us from ministry, take us out of church, or keep us from "serving God". But the truth is, the devil is perfectly fine with you staying in your physical position as long as you are spiritually displaced!

A preacher who has lost his spiritual position can do more harm than all the nightclubs and brothels combined!

A praise and worship leader who has lost their spiritual fire is exactly where the devil wants them!

A prayer warrior who is leading intercession but has lost their intimacy with God is unknowingly working for the enemy!

Satan’s strategy is not always to remove you from the pulpit, the choir, or the prayer team. He wants you to stay right there without the anointing! He wants you to be in position without power! He wants you to sing, preach, and serve without a real connection to God!

Real-Life Example: A Church Without Power

Imagine a church where everything looks perfect: the pastor is preaching, the choir is singing, the people are clapping their hands. But behind the scenes, prayer has been replaced with routine, worship has lost its fire, and the congregation is just going through the motions.

Physically, the church is intact. But spiritually, it is empty! That is exactly what the enemy wants. He doesn’t have to close down the church. He just needs to make sure it has no power!

"Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" (2 Timothy 3:5, NKJV)

    Returning to Your Spiritual Position

So what is the solution? The Lord is calling us back to our original place in Him. We cannot allow the enemy to keep us in church but outside of God’s will. We cannot afford to be in ministry but disconnected from the Holy Spirit.

If you have lost your passion for prayer, go back!

If you have lost your hunger for God, go back!

If you have lost your intimacy with Jesus, go back!

People might still see you as a “holy” brother or sister, but the devil knows the truth.

God is calling us back to our rightful place so that when He asks, "Where are you?" we can boldly say, "Lord, I am right where You placed me!"
